Mitch and Jeff wondered what kind of people would want to live in a "small" space. We expect to find a diverse community of people of all ages and professions. Fortunately, we have a green, country-like setting with pathways, central common areas, and forest trails that invite us to be outside.

We are located just beyond Kemptville and a short ride to Ottawa. Our village provides proximity to both urban and rural escapades. Hiking, cycling, fishing, and camping can all be accessed within a short drive. In addition, essential commercial amenities such as groceries, hospitals, and hardware shops are conveniently located just down the road.

  Mitch and Jeff, the founders of a North Grenville-based partnership, have leveraged Canadian and international expertise to evaluate known high-quality, ecologically sound, and intelligently designed pocket home construction. These homes' small footprint helps create urban density and provides more housing inventory during national housing shortages. Mitch's vast knowledge as a policy professional continues to be critical in all municipal and government discussions. Jeff's passion for the importance of design, layout, and financial structure analysis aligns well with the tasks ahead. The Bloom brothers will continue to advocate for people living in rural, smaller, more efficient, and ultimately net-zero homes. 

   Our mission is to introduce a home-living innovation to Canada that is long overdue. Our Village communities are designed to blend the liberating feeling of space-efficient housing with inviting, modern design, fostering natural connections that turn neighbors into friends. Throughout our development, we have collaborated with the city of North Grenville and local trades to refine regulations (e.g., adjusting system development charges based on home size and designs) to make small living more financially feasible and widespread. North Grenville is not unique in facing a housing supply that doesn't meet demand. Securing tentative approvals for our Strawberry Box Homes remains our top priority.

 Our neighborhood homes will be a unique achievement for North Grenville. This will make tangible progress in addressing this local issue and hopefully benefit many Canadians soon.
